Day 1

The road to Boise is dry and hot. Its amazing how the landscape changes so quickly after Hood River. Going from lush green to high desert in the blink of an eye. Rolling hills, and patchwork farms that stretched for miles. Not to mention those giant telephone poles you only see on television.

Boise is a neat little town. The downtown area looks incredibly new, but if you go down an alley, they seem to have hidden all the great old brick facades behind the newer "architecture" We did find a giant old warehouse distillery with great gin where we spent time cooling off (and writing this post).

After this we're on the road again to our campsite along a lake. Tomorrow we head to Salt Lake City, Utah and Arches Nat. Park. Who knows if we'll have internet in the desert so the next time you hear from us it'll be in Denver.
